Visit (visa-free with US residence): Chinese citizen in United States → Peru

🇨🇳 nationality: China🇺🇸 lives in: United States🇵🇪 going to: Peruupdated 2026-07-17

Chinese citizens who hold a valid US visa or US permanent residence permit may enter Peru visa-free for up to 180 days — no Peru visa needed. Peru's Ministry of Foreign Affairs exonerates Chinese ordinary-passport holders from the tourist-visa requirement provided they hold a US (or Canada/UK/Australia/Schengen) visa valid at least six months, or permanent residence there. There is no Peruvian visa-centre step in the United States — you are admitted as a tourist directly at the Peru border. Just carry your passport (valid 6+ months) and your US visa or green card, and be ready to show onward travel and funds.

Confirm you qualify via the US-visa / US-residence waiverstart by 15 Oct 2026

Peru's official MFA visa-exoneration table for ordinary passports states that Chinese ordinary-passport holders may enter Peru without a tourist visa provided they meet at least one condition: (a) hold a visa valid for a minimum of six months for the United States (or Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia or a Schengen State), OR (b) hold permanent residence in the United States (or one of those). A valid US visa (6+ months) or US green card qualifies you — you enter as a tourist without any Peruvian visa.

Carry your valid US visa or green card, and your passportstart by 31 Oct 2026

Bring the qualifying document itself: your US visa valid for at least six more months, or your US permanent-residence card, together with your valid ordinary passport. Migration officers rely on this to admit you visa-free, so it must be valid and current for the whole visit. Also make sure your passport meets Peru's minimum six-month validity.

Prepare your onward ticket and fundsstart by 7 Nov 2026

Go to the Migraciones control module to register your entry — present your passport and your qualifying US visa or residence card. Your Andean Virtual Migration Card (TAM) is created automatically and records your authorised stay of up to 180 days, non-extendable within 365 days from first entry. Do not exceed it: overstaying incurs a daily fine of 0.1% of the Tax Unit (UIT).
