Visit (visa exemption): Chinese citizen in United States → Armenia
Chinese citizens living in the United States can still visit Armenia without a visa — the visa-free right follows the Chinese passport, not where you live, so it applies from the US (or anywhere); Chinese nationals are on the MFA's official visa-free list (all passport types), with stays of up to 180 days during one year.

China is on the MFA's official list of countries with which Armenia has a visa-free regime according to bilateral and multilateral agreements — for all types of passports. No visa is needed for a short visit — this is a visa exemption, not a visa.
Visa-free visitors can stay in Armenia for no more than 180 days during one year (unless another term is defined by an international agreement of the Republic of Armenia). For a longer stay, apply for a residence permit from the Migration and Citizenship Service during your stay.
Enter Armenia through a border-control point with your valid passport — for entry a foreigner must have a valid passport (or entry visa / residency document). No visa stamp or fee applies to your visa-free entry.

Gotchas to watch
- Visa-free means no visa and no fee — but you still must enter through a border-control point with a valid passport; arriving without a valid identity document means you cannot enter and must be returned.
- The 180-days-per-year cap is the default — another term applies only if the bilateral agreement defines one.
- Staying beyond your visa-free period requires a residence permit — apply to the Migration and Citizenship Service during your stay in Armenia.
