Tourist Visit Visa (unsponsored eVisa): Chinese citizen in China → Oman
Chinese citizens can get an Oman tourist visa entirely online — China is on the Royal Oman Police's Group-1 list, so the unsponsored Tourist Visit Visa (30 days, OMR 20, with 10-day and 1-year multi-entry options) is applied for on the official eVisa portal, no sponsor needed. Staying 14 days or less? This nationality is also on the Foreign Ministry's 14-day visa-free list.

- Entries
- Single entry (26B / 26A); multiple entries with the 36B option
- Max stay per visit

When to start
Start 5–14 days before your travel date.
The ROP eVisa portal's eligibility wizard, run for this nationality (not GCC-resident), offers the unsponsored Tourist Visit Visas directly: 26A (10 days, OMR 5), 26B (30 days, OMR 20) and the 1-year multi-entry 36B (OMR 50) — you are a Group-1 (G1) national. The Foreign Ministry additionally lists this nationality in the first group of the 14-day visa exemption, so trips of up to 14 days need no visa at all.
Create your eVisa account on evisa.rop.gov.om, entering your details exactly as in your passport — your email address becomes your login. You must log in to the eVisa system before you can start a visa application.
Pick the Tourist Visit Visa that fits your trip: 26B gives a 30-day stay (OMR 20), 26A a 10-day stay (OMR 5), and 36B a 1-year multi-entry visa with 30 days per visit (OMR 50). Complete the application online; you must be outside Oman when you apply and must not hold another current Oman visa.
The fee for the 30-day Tourist Visit Visa (26B) is OMR 20; the 10-day 26A costs OMR 5 and the 1-year multi-entry 36B costs OMR 50. Pay online in the eVisa system to submit the application.
The visa is single entry and must be used within 1 month of issue. On entry your passport must be valid at least 6 months, and you should be able to show your hotel booking and return ticket. Final admission is decided at the border.
The 30-day stay can be extended by the same period: you can do the first extension yourself; second and subsequent extensions require visiting a DGPCS (civil status) office. Overstaying is fined OMR 10 per day.

Gotchas to watch
- The visa must be used within 1 month of issue — don't apply too far ahead of your trip.
- Staying 14 days or less? You're on the Foreign Ministry's visa-free list — no eVisa needed; but the 14-day free entry cannot be extended.
- You must be outside the Sultanate of Oman when you apply, and must not hold another current Oman visa.
- The tourist visa cannot be changed to a work visa while inside Oman.
- Overstaying is fined OMR 10 for each day of overstay.
- A valid visa does not guarantee entry — admission is at the discretion of the Royal Oman Police officer at the port of entry.
