Visit (visa-free with US residence): Egyptian citizen in United States → Oman
Egyptian citizens who hold a valid US residence permit or a valid US entry visa may enter Oman visa-free for up to 14 days — no Oman visa needed. Egypt is on Oman's second-group exemption list, which grants 14-day visa-free entry to nationals who are residents of, or hold a valid entry visa for, the United States (or Canada, Australia, the UK, a Schengen country or Japan). The 14-day stay cannot be extended.
Short tourism visit to Oman with no visa to obtain in advance — Egypt is a second-group country, so an Egyptian who holds a valid US residence permit (or a valid US entry visa) may enter Oman visa-free for up to 14 days.

Egypt is on Oman's second-group exemption list. Under the Foreign Ministry's rule, second-list nationals qualify for 14-day visa-free entry if they are residents of — or hold a valid entry visa for — the United States (or Canada, Australia, the UK, a Schengen country, or Japan). A valid US residence permit, or a valid US entry visa, satisfies this. Note the source requires the US visa/residence to be valid, but does not specify a US visa type or require that you have used it to enter the US first.
Carry your valid US residence permit or valid US entry visa (the document that makes you visa-exempt) together with your passport, which must be valid for at least six months. There is no advance application — you present these on arrival.
You receive your visa-free entry on arrival. The permitted stay is 14 days and cannot be extended or transferred to any type of residence visa. Final admission is at the discretion of the Royal Oman Police officer at the port of entry.

Gotchas to watch
- This visa-free entry depends on your US visa or US residence being valid for the whole stay — if it lapses you fall back to the normal Oman sponsored-visa route.
- The 14-day visa-free stay cannot be extended — for a longer trip you would need the sponsored Tourist Visa instead.
- Eligibility rests on Egypt remaining on Oman's second-group exemption list; the Foreign Ministry updates its lists, so confirm before you travel.
- A valid US visa/residence does not guarantee entry — admission is at the discretion of the Royal Oman Police officer at the port of entry.
