Egyptian citizens need a visa for Armenia — the easiest official route is the MFA's e-Visa portal (evisa.mfa.am): a visitor visa for up to 21 days of stay (USD 8) or up to 120 days (USD 39), applied for entirely online and processed in up to 3 working days.

Egypt is not on Armenia's official visa-free lists — holders of all other national passports and travel documents, including UN Laissez-Passer, are required to obtain an entry visa. Note the temporary exemption: from 1 July 2026 to 1 July 2027, Egyptian nationals who hold a valid residence permit of the US, an EU member state, a Schengen state, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or Oman (valid for at least six months from the date of entry) are exempt from the visa requirement and can stay up to 180 days within a one-year period.

Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after your intended departure from Armenia and have at least 2 pages free of visas, marks or stamps. Print and bring along your e-Visa — airlines and immigration authorities are likely to require it for verification. There is no visa sticker to collect: enter Armenia through a border-control point with your passport and the printed e-Visa.
