Consular visit visa (on MFA confirmation): Pakistani citizen in United States → Uzbekistan
Pakistani citizens living in the United States are not on Uzbekistan's visa-free or e-Visa lists and need a consular visa: an inviting party in Uzbekistan obtains an MFA visa confirmation, then you apply at the Uzbek Embassy or Consular Office in the US with jurisdiction over your state of residence, with your passport, forms and photos.
Uzbekistan's ordinary short-stay visa for nationals not on the visa-free or e-Visa lists — issued by an Uzbek diplomatic mission on the basis of an MFA visa confirmation arranged by an inviting party in Uzbekistan.

Pakistan is not on Uzbekistan's visa-free list or on Appendix 1 (the e-Visa list), so you need an ordinary visa issued by an Uzbek diplomatic mission on the basis of a visa confirmation from the MFA Consular and Legal Department.
An inviting legal entity or individual in Uzbekistan applies to the MFA Consular and Legal Department with an invitation-application (via evisa.mfa.uz) to obtain your visa confirmation. Written applications to the MFA are considered within 4 working days.
Once the confirmation is issued, submit your passport, two completed visa application forms and two colour photos to the Uzbek Embassy or Consular Office accredited for your country.
Pay the consular fee — from USD 40 (single entry, up to 7 days) to USD 160 (single entry, up to 1 year), or USD 40 for a 30-day tourist visa — and collect your visa. Your passport must be valid at least 3 months longer than the visa.
Enter Uzbekistan on your visa, then register your place of stay within three working days — hotels do this automatically; a private host registers you on my.gov.uz. Keep the registration slip for exit control.

- MFA visa confirmation / invitation — A visa confirmation from the MFA Consular and Legal Department, arranged by your inviting legal entity or individual in Uzbekistan (for individuals, an original invitation letter from the internal affairs bodies). ✓ verified
- Consular fee — The consular fee for the visa — from USD 40 (single entry, up to 7 days) to USD 160 (single entry, up to 1 year); a 30-day tourist visa is USD 40. ✓ verified
- Place-of-stay registration — Registration of your place of stay within three working days of arrival — automatic at hotels, or done by a private host on my.gov.uz. ✓ verified
Where you'll apply
Apply through the Uzbek Embassy or Consular Office in the United States with jurisdiction over your state of residence, after your inviting party in Uzbekistan obtains the MFA visa confirmation. Citizens of countries with no Uzbek mission may get a visa on arrival at Tashkent airport once a confirmation is arranged in advance.

Gotchas to watch
- A visa confirmation from the MFA, arranged by an inviting party in Uzbekistan, is required before the mission will issue your visa.
- Written applications to the MFA are considered within 4 working days — allow extra time before booking travel.
- Your passport must be valid at least 3 months longer than the visa.
- Citizens of countries with no Uzbek diplomatic mission can get a visa on arrival at Tashkent airport, but only if a confirmation (stamp) has been arranged in advance.
- Register your place of stay within three working days of arrival; hotels do this automatically, private hosts via my.gov.uz.
