Tourist Visit Visa 26M/26N (conditional eVisa): Vietnamese citizen in Vietnam → Oman
Vietnamese citizens can get an unsponsored Oman tourist eVisa — 30 days (26M, OMR 20) or 10 days (26N, OMR 5) — ONLY if they hold a valid Schengen visa, or a valid residency or multi-entry visa for the US, UK, Canada, Australia or Japan; the same condition also unlocks 14-day visa-free entry under the Foreign Ministry's second-group exemption. Without such a visa or residence, a sponsor in Oman must arrange a sponsored visit visa.
Oman's unsponsored tourist eVisa for listed nationalities who hold a valid Schengen visa, or a valid residency or multi-entry visa for the US, UK, Canada, Australia or Japan — 30-day (26M, OMR 20) and 10-day (26N, OMR 5) options on the Royal Oman Police eVisa portal.
- Validity
- Single-entry visa must be used within 1 month of issue (Use by Period 1M)
- Entries

- Max stay per visit
- 30 days (26M) or 10 days (26N), extendable by the same period as the original visa; 14-day visa-free entries under the conditional exemption cannot be extended
When to start
Start 5–14 days before your travel date.
Vietnam is not on the ROP's Group-1 list, so the standard unsponsored tourist visas (26A/26B) are not offered. The eligibility wizard for this nationality instead offers the CONDITIONAL Tourist Visit Visas — 26M (30 days) and 26N (10 days) — for holders of a valid Schengen visa or a valid visa for the USA, UK, Canada, Australia or Japan.
You must hold either a valid Schengen visa, OR a valid residency visa or multi-entry visa for Great Britain, Australia, the USA, Canada or Japan. The same condition (residence or a valid entry visa for those countries) also qualifies you for the Foreign Ministry's 14-day visa-free entry — useful for short trips.
Create your eVisa account on evisa.rop.gov.om, entering your details exactly as in your passport — your email address becomes your login. You must log in to the eVisa system before you can start a visa application.
Complete the application online, uploading your passport copy, photo and the copy of your qualifying visa or residence. You must be outside Oman when you apply and must not hold another current Oman visa.
The fee for the 30-day conditional tourist visa (26M) is OMR 20; the 10-day 26N costs OMR 5. Pay online in the eVisa system to submit the application.
The visa is single entry and must be used within 1 month of issue. On entry your passport must be valid at least 6 months, and you should be able to show your hotel booking and return ticket. Final admission is decided at the border.

Gotchas to watch
- No valid Schengen/US/UK/Canada/Australia/Japan visa or residence? Then the unsponsored eVisa is not available — a sponsor resident in Oman (e.g. a licensed tour operator or hotel) must apply for a sponsored visit visa instead.
- Under the same condition you can also enter visa-free for up to 14 days (second-group exemption) — but that 14-day stay cannot be extended.
- The visa must be used within 1 month of issue — don't apply too far ahead of your trip.
- You must be outside the Sultanate of Oman when you apply, and must not hold another current Oman visa.
- The tourist visa cannot be changed to a work visa while inside Oman; overstaying is fined OMR 10 per day.
- A valid visa does not guarantee entry — admission is at the discretion of the Royal Oman Police officer at the port of entry.
