Visit (14-day visa exemption): Filipino citizen in United States → Oman
Filipino citizens living in the United States can visit Oman visa-free for up to 14 days — the Philippines is in the first group of the Foreign Ministry's visa-exemption list (more than 100 countries and regions), so no visa is obtained in advance and the entry rule is identical regardless of where you live. The 14-day stay cannot be extended or converted; for a longer tourist stay a sponsor resident in Oman must arrange a sponsored visit visa.

When to start
Start 1–7 days before your travel date.
The Philippines is listed in the FIRST group of the Foreign Ministry's exemption: visitors from more than 100 countries and regions are exempt from entry visas for stays up to 14 days, with no extra condition for first-group nationalities. (Note: the ROP's unsponsored tourist eVisas are not offered to this passport, so for stays beyond 14 days see the sponsored-visa gotcha below.)
The Foreign Ministry's controls for visa-free entry require: a passport valid at least 6 months, a return ticket, a confirmed hotel reservation, health insurance, and enough money to cover your stay in the Sultanate.
You are allowed to stay in the Sultanate for a period of 14 days, which cannot be extended or transferred to any type of residence visa — plan your exit within the window. Your spouse and children travelling with you benefit from the facility even if they are not nationals of an exempt country.

Gotchas to watch
- The 14-day stay cannot be extended or transferred to any type of residence visa — leaving and re-entering is at the border officer's discretion.
- Staying longer than 14 days? The ROP's unsponsored tourist eVisa is not offered to this passport — a sponsor resident in Oman (e.g. a licensed tour operator or hotel) must arrange a sponsored visit visa instead.
- Carry the required documents (return ticket, confirmed hotel reservation, health insurance, funds) — they are the official controls of the exemption.
- Spouses and children travelling with you benefit from the facility even if they are not nationals of an exempt country.
