Visit (visa exemption): Indian citizen in United States → Nepal
Indian citizens do not require a visa to enter Nepal — there is no visa, ETA or online form to complete. Travelling by air, you enter with your Indian passport or an Election Commission voter ID card; children under 18 accompanied by a guardian can use a school ID or birth certificate. This is a visa exemption, so living in the United States changes nothing — there is nothing to apply for from the US or anywhere; you simply enter Nepal with an accepted identity document.

Gotchas to watch
- By air, only an Indian passport or an Election Commission voter ID card is accepted — other IDs (such as Aadhaar) are not listed by the Department of Immigration for air entry.
- Children under 18 travelling with a guardian need a school ID or birth certificate.
- No visa also means no visa stamp — keep your identity documents handy for airline check-in and the immigration counter.
