Tourist visa — on arrival or online (ETA)

Multiple-entry tourist visa for 15, 30 or 90 days (USD 30 / 50 / 125). Nearly all nationalities can get it on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport and other designated entry points, or apply online in advance; a short list of nationalities must apply through a Nepalese embassy instead. Maximum tourist stay is 150 days per visa year.

Transit visa

For foreign nationals transiting through Nepal — enter the country for up to 24 hours by presenting proof of transit (air ticket). Fee USD 5, paid at the bank counter on arrival at TIA.

Only foreign nationals holding a Working Visa may accept employment in Nepal. Issued by the Department of Immigration upon recommendation from the relevant government line agency, with a Work Permit from the Department of Labor and a Work Agreement from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
