Tourist Visa (T) β e-Visa: Chinese citizen in United States β Cambodia
Chinese citizens living in the United States visiting Cambodia for up to 14 days between June 15 and October 15, 2026 are temporarily visa-exempt (the exemption follows the PRC passport, so it applies from the US too; multiple entries; the e-Arrival card is still required). For longer stays β or travel outside that window β the Tourist Visa (Visa T) is issued online, so you apply from the United States (or anywhere) on the official e-Visa portal exactly as you would at home: USD 30, single entry, stay up to 1 month.
Cambodia's tourist visa, issued electronically via the official e-Visa portal (evisa.gov.kh) β single entry, valid 3 months from issue, for a stay of up to 1 month.
- Validity
- 3 months (starting from the date of issue)
- Entries
- Single entry only
- Max stay per visit
- Up to 1 month
When to start
Start 7β14 days before your travel date.
Between June 15 and October 15, 2026, Chinese tourists staying 14 days or less qualify for a temporary visa exemption (multiple entries; PRC passports including Hong Kong and Macau, excluding Taiwan) β no Tourist Visa or fee, though the E-Arrival Card is still required. Staying longer than 14 days, or travelling after October 15, 2026, means applying for the Tourist Visa (Visa T) online.
Fill in the secure online e-Visa form on evisa.gov.kh β the Application menu walks you through security verification, then personal, passport and travel details, then review. A group submission can include up to 10 applications, and the passport-reader feature fills the form from an uploaded passport image.
Review your application, then pay the Visa T fee β USD 30 (single entry, 3-month validity, stay up to 1 month) β by credit card or one of the portal's other secure payment options. The fee is non-refundable.
Processing takes about 3 business days. Get an approval letter within 3 days β your approved e-Visa arrives by email, or you can download it from the portal's Check & Change page.
All travellers must fill in the Cambodia e-Arrival even when a visa has been granted β submit it online within 7 days before arrival to avoid queueing at the immigration counter.
Bring your printed e-Visa certificate to show immigration at the checkpoint. e-Visa entry is supported at Techo, Siem Reap Angkor and Sihanoukville international airports and the Bavet and Tropaeng Kreal land checkpoints β not all border checkpoints support e-Visa, so check the port list before you travel.

Gotchas to watch
- The 14-day visa exemption for Chinese tourists is date-bounded (June 15 β October 15, 2026) β for travel after October 15, 2026 the normal Visa T rules apply.
- The e-Visa fee is non-refundable, and an e-Visa does not automatically entitle you to enter β immigration makes the final decision at the port of entry.
- Not all border checkpoints support e-Visa β Cham Yeam (Koh Kong) and Poi Pet (Banteay Meanchey) are temporarily closed for e-Visa entry until further notice.
- You must travel with the passport for which the e-Visa is issued β a second passport won't be accepted.
- The Visa T is single entry only, valid 3 months from the date of issue, for a stay of up to 1 month.
- False or misleading statements can lead to permanent refusal of an e-Visa, denial of entry or prosecution.
- All travellers must also submit the Cambodia e-Arrival card β recommended within 7 days before arrival.
