Every Georgia visa route, explained

Georgia (the country) has a route for every purpose — short visits (visa-free for around 100 nationalities, most for a full 1 year; otherwise a short-term C visa via the official e-Visa Portal or a Georgian embassy), plus transit and D-category immigration routes for work, study, family reunification and property owners. Short-term visa (C) / visa-free visit

Short visits for tourism, business or family/friends. Around 100 nationalities enter visa-free — most for a full 1 year; the rest apply online via the official e-Visa Portal (where offered) or through a Georgian Embassy or Consular Office. Visa stays are capped at 90 days in any 180-day period.

Transit

Transit visa (T)

For passing through Georgian territory en route to another country. Airline, railway and marine crew and passengers changing carrier with proof of onward entry do not need a transit visa (stay up to ten days); airport transit without leaving the international transit area needs no visa at all.
