Single-entry tourist e-Visa: Egyptian citizen in United States → Kazakhstan
Egyptian citizens living in the United States need a visa for Kazakhstan, but Egypt is on the 109-country e-Visa list: apply online on the Visa and Migration Portal (vmp.gov.kz) from the US with an invitation number from your Kazakh host, pay the US$60 tourist consular fee, and fly into Astana or Almaty — the process is identical regardless of residence.
Kazakhstan's single-entry electronic tourist visa, applied for online on the Visa and Migration Portal on the basis of a registered invitation — entry and exit only through the international airports of Astana and Almaty.
- Validity
- Single-entry electronic tourist visa — the tourist (B12) visa is issued for up to 90 days; paid consular fees are non-refundable
- Entries
- Single entry

- Up to 90 days, as stated on the issued tourist e-Visa
When to start
Start 7–21 days before your travel date.
On the MFA visa-regime table, Egypt needs a visa for an ordinary passport. But Egypt is on Kazakhstan's list of 109 countries whose citizens can obtain an electronic single-entry tourist visa — so you can apply online instead of visiting an embassy.
The e-Visa is issued only on the basis of a valid invitation from the Kazakh side, registered by the migration-service units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Your host, hotel or Kazakh tour operator registers it and sends you the invitation number.
Register on the Visa and Migration Portal (www.vmp.gov.kz), enter the invitation number sent by your inviting party and fill in your passport data, then pay the consular fee. The e-Visa is formed in your personal office.
Pay the consular fee online through the portal. The state fee for a tourist e-Visa is US$60; paid consular fees are non-refundable.
Print the electronic visa from your personal office and present it at passport control. With an e-Visa you can enter and leave Kazakhstan only through the checkpoints of its international airports (Astana and Almaty) — land borders are not available to e-Visa holders.
What you'll need

- Bank card for the consular fee — A card to pay the consular fee online through the portal — the tourist e-Visa state fee is US$60 and paid consular fees are non-refundable. ✓ verified
- Printed electronic visa — The e-Visa is formed in your personal office on the portal; print it out to present at passport control. It is valid only for its recipient and does not cover accompanying persons. ✓ verified
Where you'll apply
Applied for online from anywhere, including the United States, on the Visa and Migration Portal (vmp.gov.kz) — there is no US visa-application-centre step; the online process is identical regardless of residence. Families travelling with children apply through a Kazakh embassy instead.
