Ghanaian citizens living in the United States need a visa / entry permit to visit Hong Kong — apply via the Chinese diplomatic mission with jurisdiction over their US address, or the HKSAR Immigration Department, before they travel.

When to start
Start 21–42 days before your travel date.
Your nationality is not on Hong Kong's visa-free list, so you must hold a valid visa/entry permit to visit the HKSAR.
Complete the visa/entry permit application form — a visa is issued only on receipt of an original, properly completed form, with the required photographs.
Submit your application at the nearest Chinese diplomatic/consular mission, or directly to the HKSAR Immigration Department by post or through a local sponsor.
To shorten processing, forms and supporting documents may be faxed to the Immigration Department first, with originals sent by air mail.
