When to start
Start 21–42 days before your travel date.
Your nationality is not on Hong Kong's visa-free list, so you must hold a valid visa/entry permit to visit the HKSAR.
Complete the visa/entry permit application form — a visa is issued only on receipt of an original, properly completed form, with the required photographs.
Submit your application at the nearest Chinese diplomatic/consular mission, or directly to the HKSAR Immigration Department by post or through a local sponsor.
To shorten processing, forms and supporting documents may be faxed to the Immigration Department first, with originals sent by air mail.
