Australian citizens can apply for Egypt's e-Visa online — single- or multiple-entry, up to 30 days per stay.

When to start
Start 7–21 days before your travel date.
Create an account on visa2egypt.gov.eg with your email address.
Sign in, fill in the application form and pay by card. Create your application at least 7 days before departure.
You must create the e-Visa application at least 7 days before you travel.
After you submit and pay, your application is processed; you receive the e-Visa by email to print.
What you'll need
- Valid passport — A passport valid for at least 6 months from your date of arrival in Egypt.
- Passport photo / data page — A digital copy of your passport data page and a passport-style photo, as prompted in the application.

Gotchas to watch
- Egypt's e-Visa is applied for entirely online at least 7 days before travel — you upload a passport scan and a photo and pay the fee; there are no other documents to submit.
- Apply only on the official portal (visa2egypt.gov.eg) — many lookalike sites charge extra fees.
- Create your application at least 7 days before departure.
- An e-Visa is permission to travel, not a guarantee of entry — the officer decides on arrival.
