You can apply if you're the eligible family member of someone from the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein and your family relationship began by 31 December 2020.
Provide your family member's EU Settlement Scheme application number and evidence of your relationship, such as a marriage or civil partnership certificate.
You must apply online for an EU Settlement Scheme family permit and you must be outside the UK to apply. It is free to apply for the permit.
You must provide proof of your identity, which can be either a valid passport or a valid national identity card.
