Russian citizens do not need to arrange a visa before travelling to the Maldives โ a free tourist visa is granted on arrival. Bring a valid passport, confirmed return tickets, a prepaid accommodation booking and proof of sufficient funds, and submit the Traveller Declaration online before you fly.
The Maldives grants a free tourist visa on arrival to all nationalities, including Russian citizens โ no visa needs to be arranged in advance. The visa is issued at the port of entry once Immigration officers confirm you meet the entry requirements.

- The tourist visa is granted on arrival for a stay of up to 30 days. There is no fee and no advance application; the visa is issued at the port of entry after Immigration officers determine your admissibility.

When to start
Start 0โ4 days before your travel date.
Make sure you carry a passport or travel document with a Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) that has at least one month of validity.
Have a complete travel itinerary ready, including confirmed return journey tickets, a prepaid confirmed booking at a registered facility, and sufficient funds to cover your stay in the Maldives.
All foreigners arriving in the Maldives must complete and submit the 'Traveller Declaration' form via the IMUGA portal before arrival.
