A citizen of a foreign country who wishes to work in the United States must first get the right visa.
Before you can apply for a temporary worker visa, USCIS must first approve the Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, Form I-129, which your prospective employer files on your behalf.
You may apply for a visa when USCIS has approved your petition. Complete Form DS-160 online and upload your photo.
Book an interview at any US Embassy or Consulate where you live; wait times vary, so apply early.

- 人気のある領事館（大都市のフランス・イタリア・スペインなど）では、新しい枠が数分でなくなることがあります。事前に登録・ログインした状態で確認してください。
- キャンセルにより日中も枠が空くことがあるため、「空きなし」と表示されていても毎日確認してください。
- できるだけ早く申請してください。出発の最大6か月前から申請可能です。1〜2か月前まで待つと、枠がまったく残っていないことがほとんどです。
