The ROP eligibility wizard, run for an Indian national resident in the United Arab Emirates, offers the GCC Resident Visa 29A — OMR 5, 28 days — for a person who resides in the GCC and is on the list of approved professions (plus the companion variant 29B for accompanied family, and short-transit options). The standard unsponsored tourist eVisas are not offered to this passport.
You must be a resident of a GCC country with at least 6 months of residency remaining on entry to Oman, and your profession must be on the approved-professions list (the wizard links the official list — check your exact job title as written on your residence permit).
Create your eVisa account on evisa.rop.gov.om, entering your details exactly as in your passport — your email address becomes your login. You must log in to the eVisa system before you can start a visa application.
Complete the 29A application online with your passport copy and photo, and pay the OMR 5 fee. You must be outside Oman when you apply and must not hold another current Oman visa.
The visa is single entry, must be used within 1 month of issue, and gives a 4-week (28-day) stay. On entry your passport must be valid at least 6 months and your GCC residency at least 6 months. Final admission is decided at the border.
The stay can be extended by 1 week: you can do the first extension yourself; second and subsequent extensions require visiting a DGPCS (civil status) office. Overstaying is fined OMR 10 per day.
