Vietnamese citizens living in the United States need a visa / entry permit to visit Hong Kong — apply via the Chinese diplomatic mission with jurisdiction over their US address, or the HKSAR Immigration Department, before they travel.
Hong Kong visit visa / entry permit for a short visit. Required for nationalities not on Hong Kong's visa-free list; applied for via a Chinese diplomatic mission or the HKSAR Immigration Department.

Your nationality is not on Hong Kong's visa-free list, so you must hold a valid visa/entry permit to visit the HKSAR.
Complete the visa/entry permit application form — a visa is issued only on receipt of an original, properly completed form, with the required photographs.
Submit your application at the nearest Chinese diplomatic/consular mission, or directly to the HKSAR Immigration Department by post or through a local sponsor.
To shorten processing, forms and supporting documents may be faxed to the Immigration Department first, with originals sent by air mail.

- 予約枠は公開スケジュールなしでバッチ単位で解放されます。多くの場合、現地の早朝、月曜日の午前中、毎月1日前後に解放されます。
- 人気のある領事館（大都市のフランス・イタリア・スペインなど）では、新しい枠が数分でなくなることがあります。事前に登録・ログインした状態で確認してください。
- キャンセルにより日中も枠が空くことがあるため、「空きなし」と表示されていても毎日確認してください。
- できるだけ早く申請してください。出発の最大6か月前から申請可能です。1〜2か月前まで待つと、枠がまったく残っていないことがほとんどです。

- Even if you meet all requirements, the HKSAR immigration authorities may refuse entry — a visa is not an automatic right to land.
- Nationals on Hong Kong's visa-free list don't need this visa; this pathway is for visa-required nationalities.
