The official Georgian consular dataset lists Nigeria under VISA REQUIRED: for short-term visit purposes you must obtain an ordinary visa before entering Georgia. Check the exemptions first — holders of a valid visa or residence permit of one of the officially listed countries (EU member states, the US, the UK and others) can enter and stay 90 days in any 180-day period without a Georgian visa.
Georgia publishes an official list of documents that confirm the purpose of a visit — an invitation, business or kinship documents, admission to an educational institution and others. Prepare the one matching your purpose, plus your passport, insurance and proof of funds.
Through the official E-Application System (geoconsul.gov.ge) you submit your application for any category of Georgian visa and book a time for lodging it at the appropriate consular office.
After the e-application, hard copies of the signed visa application and all supporting documents are submitted to the visa issuing authority — directly, or through another body authorised to accept documents.
The decision on a short-term visa is made within 10 calendar days after the visa application is submitted.
A Georgian visa lets you travel to a border checkpoint and request permission to enter — having a visa does not guarantee entry; the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs make the final decision.
