Chinese citizens need a visa for the Dominican Republic — apply for the Tourist visa (TS: 60 days, one entry, US$100) at the Dominican embassy or consulate serving your place of residence; decisions take 10 to 20 working days.

The official MIREX list of countries and visa conditions places China among the nationalities that require a visa to enter the Dominican Republic — for a holiday you must obtain the Tourist visa before travelling.
Regardless of nationality, holders of permanent residence or a valid multiple-entry visa of the United States, the EU (Schengen), Canada or the UK can enter the Dominican Republic visa-free for tourism with just a valid passport. If that is you, skip the consular application and simply complete the free e-ticket before flying.
Collect the official requirements for the Tourist visa — TS is issued for 60 days with one entry (the Turismo Múltiple variant gives two entries): the visa application form, one 2×2-inch photo on a white background, your original passport valid at least six more months, proof of economic solvency, and the conditional extras that apply to you (residence card, parental authorization for minors, civil certificates).
Contact the Dominican Embassy or Consulate nearest your place of residence (or designated as your jurisdiction) and submit the completed visa application form with your documents — applications are received in person or by e-mail.
Pay the consular fee when you lodge the application: US$100.00 for the single-entry Tourist visa (TS); the two-entry Turismo Múltiple (TM) costs US$150.00.
Visa applications are authorized centrally by the Dominican Foreign Ministry (MIREX) — the official response time is 10 to 20 working days, so apply well before your trip.
With the visa in your passport, complete the Dominican Republic's free digital e-ticket (eticket.migracion.gob.do) before departure — it is mandatory for all passengers entering or leaving the country and generates the QR code you show on arrival.

- Residence card (if you live outside your country of nationality) — A legible photocopy of your residence card, with valid immigration status. ✓ 確認済み
- Parental authorization (minors) — Authorization from the parents or legal guardian when the applicant is a minor and the person applying is not the father or mother. ✓ 確認済み
- Birth / marriage certificates (if applicable) — Birth certificate(s) of your children and/or your marriage certificate, where applicable. ✓ 確認済み

- 人気のある領事館（大都市のフランス・イタリア・スペインなど）では、新しい枠が数分でなくなることがあります。事前に登録・ログインした状態で確認してください。
- キャンセルにより日中も枠が空くことがあるため、「空きなし」と表示されていても毎日確認してください。
- できるだけ早く申請してください。出発の最大6か月前から申請可能です。1〜2か月前まで待つと、枠がまったく残っていないことがほとんどです。
知っておくと便利
- The tourist visa can be used for tourism only — business trips need a Business visa (NS/NM) even for visa-exempt nationalities.
- Applications are authorized centrally by the Foreign Ministry in Santo Domingo, which is why the official response time is 10 to 20 working days — don't book non-refundable travel around a faster assumption.
- If there is no Dominican consulate in your country, you must apply at the Dominican consulate in the nearest country.
- Holders of permanent residence or a valid multiple-entry US, EU (Schengen), Canada or UK visa can enter visa-free for tourism instead (Decree 691-07) — check this before paying for a consular visa.
- Everyone entering or leaving the Dominican Republic must also complete the free digital e-ticket (eticket.migracion.gob.do) — it is free of charge; use only the official portal.
- Since 28 April 2023 all foreign passengers must show an entry AND exit (onward/return) ticket.
