- This visa-free entry depends on your US visa/residence being valid for the whole stay — if it lapses you fall back to the normal Chile visa route.
- The waiver excludes the US/Canadian C (transit) visa: a C-type visa does not qualify — you would need the normal Chilean tourist visa.
- Your US or Canadian visa or Green Card must have at least 6 months' validity remaining for the waiver to apply.
