The DNM lists India as visa-required for tourist entry. However, as of Resolution 353/2025, Indian citizens who hold a valid and current B1/B2, B2, J, B1, O, P (P1, P2 and P3), E and H-1B U.S. visa, or permanent legal residence ("Green Card") may enter Argentina for tourism purposes without a consular visa or an electronic travel authorization (AVE/ETA), with a maximum stay of 90 days.
Indian citizens who do not hold a qualifying US visa or Green Card still need to apply for a consular visa to enter the country as tourists. Transitory visas (such as tourist visas) can be applied for in any Argentine consulate worldwide.
Contact the Consular Section of the Embassy of Argentina in India to book an appointment for the hard-copy submission and interview. Under Argentine law, transitory visas can be applied for in any Argentine consulate worldwide.
Attend the consular interview and submit your original passport plus two recent 4 x 4 cm photographs. Under a bilateral agreement, tourist visas for Indian nationals are free of cost.
The period of stay in Argentina is a maximum of 90 days. Fulfilling the requirements does not guarantee the visa issuance, being this an exclusive prerogative of the Argentine State.
